Around 6-7 miles at a moderately brisk pace mostly on paved streets. Starting from Riverside Park, we'll walk along the path, and will walk to the promenades of two piers to view the waterfront. While we'll be walking, various wild flowers weeds and new or old sculptures being sponsored by the city will be an exciting view. Finally we'll reach the elevated 1930's freight rail station, " High Line" which had been transformed into a wild wonderland of the city "wilderness." Expect to see many wildflowers, plants, birds, and tourists. We'll be heading to the west village to spend some time in the flower garden of the St. Lukes church. Having an optional late post-lunch snacks at a Grom's Ice Cream or Joe's pizza will be a possibility. Bring lunch, water and dress according to the weather. Heavy rain or bad weather conditions cancels.
