Labor Day - Piermont to Nyack Circular

This AMC / Shorewalker hike will begin with six miles on the Long Path, including historic Rockland Cemetery and a pre-WWI rifle range. The return will be on the Old Erie Railroad Bed, obviously a level path.

Bring 2 liters of fluids and lunch.

Lunch will be at Tackamack Park.See website http://nynjtc.org/hike/long-pathold-erie-railroad-bed-loop-piermont-nyack for directions and full description or contact leader for information. The Trail Conference calls this hike moderate to strenuous hike. I believe that is only because it is among their longest, 10 miles. Come and decide for yourself.

At the following intersection, bear right onto Gair Street, and park in the municipal parking lot to the left. (From Trail Conference website).
